The Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference has been and will continue to be a platform in recognizing the potential for new technologies and research in molecular medicine, diagnostics, drug discovery, and drug development that have a pivotal role in mitigating disease, improving access to healthcare, and identifying transformative treatments. The Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference offers a plenary keynote session on Monday from 5:00-6:00pm, Tuesday from 8:00-9:15am, and Wednesday from 8:00-10:00am. Join approximately 1,000 of your colleagues in each of these plenary keynote presentations. These are the only times each day that bring all attendees from all the conference programs together in one room.

5:15 Biospecimen Donation: Personal Journey of a Family and Genetic Diagnostic Lab Advancing Biomedical Research
Sarah shares the now world-famous story of how she anonymously donated her infant son’s post-mortem tissue for biomedical research to some of the most prestigious scientific facilities in the country, including the University of Pennsylvania. Years later, she tracked down each donation. She met with researchers and scientists who received the donations to learn how they are being studied in cutting-edge research for medical discoveries. One of these research scientists who received her son’s retinas is Dr. Arupa Ganguly. Dr. Ganguly directs the genetic diagnostic lab at the University of Pennsylvania and studies retinoblastoma, a childhood-onset cancer caused by mutations in tumor suppression gene. They will share their experience and perspective on biospecimen donation.

8:15 Toward a Global, Data-Driven Platform for Precision Medicine
Big data, AI and molecular medicine are revolutionizing healthcare. Algorithms trained on population-wide data sets, combined with a deeper understanding of -omics, are transforming disease detection and diagnosis, clinical testing, treatment personalization, as well as drug development and clinical trials. These advances have largely taken place in isolation from one another. To realize their full potential, they must be integrated into a synergistic global system that continuously learns from each and every patient and experiment. The panel, representing broad clinical and biomedical expertise, will engage in a highly interactive exploration of this opportunity and the challenges that must be overcome to achieve it.

8:15 Plenary Session Panel: Emerging Technologies and Industry Perspectives
A popular session at Tri-Conference! This panel session will feature a series of short podium presentations on emerging and hot technologies in molecular medicine. Each speaker will have 7 minutes to present. After all speakers have presented, there will be a moderated Q&A with attendees. The presentations are not meant to be a corporate or specific product pitch. Each speaker will focus on a technology and solution framed around a motivational clinical problem and how their particular company/organization is solving it.
